Hi, I'm back

Hi everyone. Sorry about my failure to respond to comments posted here, I will try to catch up.

Truth is I've had a busy year with work and family and I have been concentrating on my YouTube channel, which you can find easily enough. I am just a few views short of a million and almost 1,000 subscribers. The limited time I have interfacing with the world about my orchard has gone into this. And I lost my pasword, it got all conmplexified and I all but forgot about this blog.

The orchard is not in a happy state due to the drought and a severe infstation of red spider mite. I have just struggld throughthe logstics of gettnig some serious acaricide which Julia began applying today (I know, the women do all the hard work, I meanwhile was at the clinic earning money that keeps the apple project afloat).

I expect to post more often from now on, bt anyone interested in the week by week goings on at the orchard woudl be better off subscribing to my YouTube channel.

    Just a short comment to say how much I enjoy your videos, the website and blog. An old pear orchard (90 yrs old) spans our property and our neighbor’s property. Amongst this is an old seedling apple which crops early and produces quite lovely apples although they don’t store well. These trees have been a landmark in our district and quite a lot of local stories begin with a discussion about this orchard. This has inspired a plan to plant more apple trees; the final push came from your website and videos.

    We live in the Strzelecki Ranges in Victoria Australia. The neighboring bush supplies plenty of bats which catch insects at dusk; although codling moth is a problem for much of Victoria we haven’t seen any here which we think are cleaned up by the birds and bats.

    Thank you so much for your brilliant youtube videos - they were exactly what I needed when staring at a neglected Bramely tree in the back garden. I live not too far from Winchester and will definitely look out for you and your apples - thanks again!
